ARMAGEDDON, WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?

Pearl Doxsey:

“The Bible itself makes clear, that Armageddon is a spiritual battle, between the liar, Satan (John 8:442Cor. 4:41Tim. 4:1Rev.16:13-1612:9,15)...
...his agents of lying doctrine, and his deceptive teachings...
which battle against the truths of Jesus Christ and all those who preach and defend them (messengers/"angels") (https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/search?q=messenger+angel).

That war has existed throughout the ages (Gen.3:15Rev.12:17)...but it does have a final battle in the time of the end, and that final battle is called, Armageddon.”

The following are thoughts, a prayer, and scriptures contributed by Charles, an anointed member of the Body of Christ.  Jehovah’s Witnesses are quick to say they are a proud people of an earthly organization, who “know” the truth of God’s word. (Jeremiah 9:23-24; Luke 18:9-14) But this pride instilled in them by their corrupt leaders, has robbed them of the humility, the light, the love, and the life in Jesus Christ. (John 1:1-5; 8:12; John 3:19-21;Prov 6:23; John 8:32; 1John 4:7-9)

Through him, do we receive salvation, by our obedience to the Father and the Son, the Word of God – NOT through an organizational idol that demands obedience to men and their lies.  (Matthew 24:24-25; Colossians 2:8; Galatians 1:6-10; 1 Timothy 4:1;Romans 1:25; Revelation 13:1-2,11-12,14-17).

Charles:

“This is war, and lives are literally being lost.  Little souls are being destroyed, and this is a terrible, terrible war that is going on between light and darkness.  But there’s a beautiful, beautiful, merciful opportunity through the hope and love that is being offered.  We need to keep that in mind as well.  This is a war, but this is why the fight is worth it, because there’s a beautiful promise.  These things we war against are these lies and misconceptions, and the enslavement. But there’s a beautiful opportunity for all of us, and I love that.  We need to keep that in mind as well.”

 Prayer:

Most High,

We humbly wish to approach You to thank You for Your mercy toward all of us.  And so, with my granddaughter, sometimes we forget, we get caught up in the bigger picture, and we forget about the little children and the little in heart, being hurt and abused by lies against You and Your Son, and Your purpose.  And so, may we always reach people with the healthful teachings of Your healing words; that love is what heals, and the truth sets free what binds up.  So, whether literal little children or elderly that are little in spirit, may we approach everyone, anyone in the merciful way that You have dealt with us.  And so, keep all of them in mind, and help us in our walk, and to continue to be forgiving, to be forgiving of those that may not know what they are doing.  I ask this and offer it through You, Jesus.  Amen.

Scriptures:

“Who say, ‘Keep to yourself, Do not come near me, For I am holier than you!’
These are smoke in My nostrils, A fire that burns all the day.” Isaiah 65:5

“You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40 But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. 41 I do not receive honor from men. 42 But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you. 43 I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. 44 How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?” John 5:39-44

As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one” Romans 3:10

Yet they say to God, ‘Depart from us, For we do not desire the knowledge of Your ways.
15 Who is the Almighty, that we should serve Him? And what profit do we have if we pray to Him?’  Job 21:14-15

“There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes, Yet is not washed from its filthiness.”  Proverbs 30:12

But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Matthew 9:13

He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?” So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ”  And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.” Luke 10:26-28

“On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:40

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.  By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”  John 13:34-35

Hear the word of the Lord, You who tremble at His word: “Your brethren who hated you, Who cast you out for My name’s sake, said, ‘Let the Lord be glorified,
That we may see your joy.’ But they shall be ashamed.” Isaiah 66:5

“Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:37-38

“The righteous God wisely considers the house of the wicked,
Overthrowing the wicked for their wickedness. The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, And the unfaithful for the upright.”   Proverbs 21:12,18

“Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ “So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”  Matthew 18:23,33,35

“For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.”  James 2:13

“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
But the Lord weighs the hearts. 3To do righteousness and justice
Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.”  Proverbs 21:2-3

“To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?”
Says the Lord. “I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle.
I do not delight in the blood of bulls, Or of lambs or goats. 12 “When you come to appear before Me, Who has required this from your hand, To trample My courts?”
Isaiah 1:11-12

“Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil,17 Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.

18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. 19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land”   Isaiah 1:16-19

“He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?”  Micah 6:8

“And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”  34 Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”  But after that no one dared question Him.  Mark 12:33-34

“Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.”  Isaiah 55:6-7

“Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; Thereby good will come to you.
22 Receive, please, instruction from His mouth, And lay up His words in your heart.
23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; You will remove iniquity far from your tents. 24 Then you will lay your gold in the dust, And the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks. 25 Yes, the Almighty will be your gold And your precious silver;
26 For then you will have your delight in the Almighty, And lift up your face to God.
27 You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you, And you will pay your vows.
28 You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways. 29 When they cast you down, and you say, ‘Exaltation will come!’
Then He will save the humble person. 30 He will even deliver one who is not innocent;
Yes, he will be delivered by the purity of your hands.”  Job 22:21-30

If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well.  For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.  James 2:8,13

“He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.  No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.” 1 John 4:8-16

If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? 21 And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.  1 John 4:20-21

"We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.”  1 John 3:14-16

“But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.”  Luke 6:32

“But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. 37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”  Luke 6:35-37

“Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:31-32

“Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”  Ephesians 5:1-2

“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”  James 3:17-18

But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”  1 Peter 1:15-16

“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

“bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.”  Colossians 3:13

“Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”  Matthew 6:8-15
