I was reminded of Jeffrey Winder’s words this morning, when I listened to a video about the Governing Body. 

The Governing Body member states:

“While it is interesting to us how our understanding is clarified, what really touches our heart is why it’s clarified. Turn with me please to the book of Amos chapter 3.  And notice what Amos 3:7 says.  “For the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will not do a thing unless he has revealed his confidential matter to his servants the prophets.”  Doesn’t that convey Jehovah’s confidence in us?  Doesn’t it indicate his love, his loyalty?  Jehovah is actively involved in teaching his people, preparing us for what lies ahead.  He’s providing us with the understanding that we need when we need it.  And that is reassuring, isn’t it.” 

This man is essentially declaring that the organization’s “faithful and discreet slave”, the members of the Governing Body, are prophets.  (Matthew 24:45-51)

Their definition of a prophet: “One through whom divine purposes are made known.  Prophets act as spokesmen for God, conveying not only predictions but also Jehovah’s teachings, commands and judgments.  Amos 3:7; 2 Pet 1:21” (nwtstg)

According to the Watchtower 1986/4/15, God through His Holy Spirit “reveals” to these men “what season it is from his viewpoint”.  Again, Amos 3:7 is quoted in this article. 

And yet, Jehovah's Witnesses are also told:

“God’s people today are NOT prophets.  We are NOT inspired to add to Jehovah’s infallible words of truth found in the Bible.”  (God’s Word for Us Through Jeremiah, chapter 13)

On the one hand, God is revealing His purposes and His teachings to the prophets, the Governing Body, by means of His Holy Spirit.  On the other hand, these men who claim to be “faithful and discreet”, are NOT inspired as they have announced.  Thus, they are not inspired to receive what God reveals to His servants the true prophets, as the prophet Amos, tells us. 

In Amos 3:7, the Hebrew word for “revealed” means “to become clear, uncover”.  We might ask ourselves; how many times does "Jehovah" need to uncover, to make clear to the Governing Body when they are claiming to be prophets, the meaning of “generation” that Watchtower consistently must change? (Numbers23:19; Proverbs 3:5-6; Isaiah 55:10-11; Matthew 24:35)  They have connected it to the 1914 lie, making its meaning impossible to be revealed by false prophets. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-3,9-10)  Has not David Splane and his generation chart added “to God’s infallible words of truth” in his effort to further confuse Jehovah’s Witnesses of its meaning?

 In Numbers 12:6, God says “Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream.”   Have the Governing Body members ever received dreams or visions of truth from God?  Obviously, it is evident by their consistent “rotten fruit”/teachings, that they have received no understanding from God. (Isaiah 59:2; 2 Chronicles7:14; Matthew 7:15-20; Luke 6:43-45)

“Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you, filling you with vain hopes. They speak visions of their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord.'” Jeremiah 23:16

What is a tool used by FALSE prophets?

Crooked speech:

"Put away from you crooked speech,

    and put devious talk far from you.

²⁵ Let your eyes look directly forward,

    and your gaze be straight before you.

²⁶ Ponder the path of your feet;

    then all your ways will be sure.

²⁷ Do not swerve to the right or to the left;

    turn your foot away from evil."  Proverbs 24:24-27

"A worthless person, a wicked man,

    goes about with crooked speech,

¹³ winks with his eyes, signals with his feet,

    points with his finger,

¹⁴ with perverted heart devises evil,

    continually sowing discord;

¹⁵ therefore calamity will come upon him suddenly;

    in a moment he will be broken beyond healing." Proverbs 6:12-15

Deception:

"But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. ² And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. ³ And in their greed they will exploit you with FALSE WORDS. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

 But these, like natural brute BEASTS, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant, will also be destroyed in their destruction, ¹³ suffering wrong as the wage for their wrongdoing. They count it pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, while they feast with you. ¹⁴ They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children!"  2 Peter 2:1-3,12-14

“Then I saw another BEAST rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it SPOKE LIKE A DRAGON. ¹² It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. ¹³ It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, ¹⁴ and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived. ¹⁵ And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain."   Revelation 13:11-15

This Beast breathes spirit into the “image” of the Wild Beast from the Sea, a rebellious organization of many people – “Jehovah’s spirit-directed organization”.

Isaiah 57:20 – “But the wicked are like the tossing SEA;

    for it cannot be quiet, and its waters toss up mire and dirt.”

Watchtower’s teachings are constantly in an uproar, stirring up lies that have no life to impart to the hearers. (Ezekiel 34:19; Ecclesiastes 7:25; Hosea 9:7;John 8:44; 1 Timothy 4:16; John 6:63) Peter calls the false prophets that arise in the last days, “brute beasts”.  As we read Revelation, it tells us about a Beast that is a false prophet.  It also tells us about the army that this composite “false prophet” uses to “mislead” and conquer God’s anointed, His “saints”. And the conquering is accomplished by deceit. (Matthew 24:24-25; 7:15; Acts 20:29-31; Colossians 2:8; 1 Timothy 4:1-2) 

The two Beasts together, face God's condemnation.  (Revelation 8:10-11;9:1-4; 13:1-2,4,5-10,13:11-18; 16:13-16; 20:7-9; 14:9-11;19:20)

And certainly, these men already know the definition of what a false prophet is, and they would deny at the convenient time, that they are  prophets.  Jeffrey Winder used the “proper time” to explain Watchtower’s ongoing “new light”, claiming that indeed, they are prophets of God, blessed with new understanding.   

Matthew 24:24-26 – “For false christs (“anointed”) and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect (“chosen”). ²⁵ See, I have told you beforehand. ²⁶ So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.”

1 Tim 4:1 - “Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, ² through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared”

What about Jesus?

He said;

"15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them."

Clearly Jesus expects us to be wary of being misled by false teachers, preachers, ministers, and prophets (Matt.24:4-5,24-25; Rev.2:20). Of course! ...because he wants us to walk in the way, the truth, and the life. We cannot have any of those blessings, if we are misled.

Governing Body member, Mark Sanderson, stated in his memorial talk, that the “little flock” is the entire literal number of 144,000 “redeemed from the earth” in Revelation 14:3.

Sanderson then tells Jehovah’s Witnesses that the “other sheep” are comprised of Jehovah’s Witnesses not anointed, who become one flock with a literal 144,000 anointed ones.  Please consider:

In Luke chapter 12, Jesus is speaking to his physical Jewish disciples.  He tells them in verse 32:

“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.” 

Matthew 15:24 - Jesus responded, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the nation of Israel.” 

In John chapter 10, once again Jesus is addressing the nation of Jewish people:

“I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. ¹⁵ As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. ¹⁶ And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.”

The “other sheep” are not part of the “little flock”, they are “not of this fold” of physical Jews.  Who are they then?

“Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, “It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you reject it, (the fleshly Jews) and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.”  Acts 13:46

Ephesians 2:11-13,19-22 - So then, remember that at one time you were Gentiles in the flesh—called “the uncircumcised” by those called “the circumcised,” which is done in the flesh by human hands. ¹² At that time you were without Christ, excluded from the citizenship of Israel, and foreigners to the covenants of promise,  without hope and without God in the world. ¹³ But now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. ¹⁴ For he is our peace, who made both groups one and tore down the dividing wall of hostility.

“Both groups” – a “little flock” and “other sheep” become one in Christ, with no longer a barrier between them.  (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)

“So, then, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household, ²⁰ built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. ²¹ In him the whole building, being put together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. ²² In him you are also being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit.” 

“God’s household” – “whole building” – “holy temple” - "God's dwelling" is made up of anointed living stones:

1 Peter 2:5,9,10 – “you yourselves, as living stones, a spiritual house, are being built to be a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. ¹⁰ Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”

Romans 9:6 – “Now it is not as though the word of God has failed, because not all who are descended from Israel are Israel."

Romans 2:29 –“but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.”

Both the anointed “little flock” and the anointed “other sheep” together, become God’s temple dwelling in Spirit. (1 Corinthians3:16; 6:19-20)

"These anointed (both fleshly Jew and fleshly Gentile) became one anointed flock. They were no longer separated by their flesh

If we were to draw away from Jehovah’s organization, there would be no place else to go for salvation and true joy. w93 9/15 pp. 20-23

Let us point all homing “doves” to the way of “salvation” behind the protective walls of Jehovah’s organization and increase “praise” to him at its gates. w85 3/1 pp. 17-22 

Still, as a people, “the chosen ones” and their loyal companions will physically survive the end of apostate Christendom by taking refuge in Jehovah and  his mountainlike organization. w11 1/15 pp. 3-7 

“Sir,” the woman replied, “I see that you are a prophet. Our fathers worshipped on this mountain, but you Jews insist that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” Jesus said to her, “Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will not worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know. We worship what we do know, because salvation is from the Jews.  But a time is coming and now is here when the real worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for those are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” John 4:19-24

"This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”  Acts 4:11-12

The word, “Babylon” means confusion.  In the book of Revelation, the term “Babylon the Great” is spoken of as written on the forehead, as a trait; more importantly, a promise one enters and serves – the covenant of death. (Isaiah 28:15,18) It is written on the forehead of a false prophet. (Matthew 24:24-25; 7:15; Revelation 13:11;17:5) This false prophet is a spiritual traitor, a composite group of anointed leaders or “heads” who have turned their backs on God, Christ and the word of truth. (Revelation13:1) By doing so, it has earned them their label as spiritual harlots, daughters of their covenant “mother”.  (Revelation17:3-5)  

Why? They have broken their covenant promise with Christ, who is Truth,  (John 14:6), to enter another promise, Babylon the Great, the mother covenant of death. (Deuteronomy 11:16-18; 12:28-32; Proverbs12:22; Isa 1:21; Ezekiel 16:44; Psalm 106:39; 2 Corinthians 11:1-3; Colossians2:18-19; Luke 4:5-7; Philippians 3:17-19)

They now serve the lie and its father, Satan. (Isaiah 28:15,7-8; 2 Peter 2:1-3,12; 1 Timothy 4:1; Revelation 13:11; Revelation 16:13-16; 17:1-2;John 8:44)

“Babylon” – meaning “confusion (by mixing)”. 

Since a false prophet is involved, confusion in teachings is accomplished by mixing God’s word with the doctrine/words of men. (1Corinthians 10:21-22; 2 Corinthians 6:14; Ephesians 5:6; 1 Peter 3:10) This, the Governing Body of the Watchtower has deceitfully accomplished over the years.  (Jeremiah 9:3,8-9; Isaiah5:20-21; Jeremiah 5:22-31)

“the Great” -  “loudly, largely”, abundantly, with intensity and purpose.

In this case, the purpose is to mislead the “elect”/the anointed priests of God, and all Jehovah’s Witnesses who become “captive to empty philosophy”. (Matt 24:24-25; 1 Tim 4:1;Col 2:8; Rev 13:10)

The Greek word for “Great” is “related to Latin magnus”.  You’ve possibly heard the phrase, “Magnum Opus”, meaning “a great work”.

Watchtower has accomplished a great work of confusion with the help of the father of the lie.  The teachings of any anointed one cannot be excused if they lead a listener into the realm of confusion (“Babylon”) and darkness; wicked men deceitfully enticing them with an offering of twisted teachings, rotting “fruit”, that continually must be replaced. The traditional lifespan of the Governing Body’s doctrines ends the moment they are spoken, unlike the words of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 56:5; Jeremiah 9:5; 23:36; Matthew7:15-20; Luke 6:43-45; John 15:4; Matthew 12:35,37;1 Corinthians 2:13;Colossians 2:8)

Watchtower may claim that all their teachings are “based” on the Bible, but as we can see by the scriptures, corrupt men can easily twist God’s word into lies.  (Deuteronomy 4:2; Titus2:7-8; Malachi 2:7)

“Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.
⁶ Don’t add to his words,
or He will rebuke you, and you will be proved a liar.”  Proverbs 30:5-6

 ^“For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. ⁴ They will reject the truth and chase after myths.”  2 Timothy 4:3-4

 

Pearl Doxsey -  Is There a "Faithful Slave"?

Like a hunter who camouflages a trap, Satan has designed, created and fostered a lie, consisting of a whole society of reassuring fellows, who seem to be both informed, and loving. Truly, this is his magnum opus. Spirit confides to us, that "he knows his time is short" 
(Rev.12:12,17; Eze.21:21-22; Rev.13:1,4; 20:7-8; 16:13-16;  1Tim. 4:1; Rev.13:7,10; Col.2:8; Luke 21:24). 
The result of his final "machination", is the Great Tribulation... though as is the case with the hunter's trap, it is so well camouflaged. It draws in anyone with a genuine interest in truth, and offers a surrogate that tastes sweet, but contains poison (Rev.10:10; 8:10-11;  1John 4:1; Rev.16:13; Matt.24:24-25). 

 

“Spirit-directed”

The speaker in the video revealed the discrepancies of this teaching which is applied to the organization.  And this term also is built on the premise of confusion.  The false prophet of Revelation 13:11 is described as a Beast from the earth having two horns like a lamb – as if submissive, belonging to Christ and telling the truth. (Matthew 25:32-33; John8:17) But instead, this Beast speaks like a dragon, a liar just like its father. (John 8:44) The apostle Peter compares false prophets to “brute beasts” who exploit people with fabricated messages.

“But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption, ¹³ and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast (sharing spiritual food) with you, ¹⁴ having eyes full of adultery (spiritual prostitutes) and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children.”  2 Peter 2:12-14

Just as the Governing Body directs all aspects of the organization on its behalf, the false prophet/Beast also directs an “organization” – “Satan’s organization”, as the Watchtower calls the Beast from the Sea, from the sea of humankind. (Revelation 13:4,7; Isaiah57:20) Isn’t that how organizations are formed, by the accumulation of people with a purpose? 

This second “beast”/false prophet works “signs and wonders”, astounding accomplishments, on behalf of the organization/sea beast. (Matthew24:24; Revelation 13:13; John 4:48)   But the Greek word for “beast” describes them both as “venomous” – a source of poisonous teachings.  (Deuteronomy 32:32-33; Psalm 140:3; Revelation17:1-2; Romans 3:10-18; Revelation 16:13-16)

If a person is poisoned by something, one of the symptoms is confusion.  If a person is poisoned by Revelation’s “Wormwood”, it too causes great confusion.  This is another label for the false prophet/Beast of the earth who has fallen from God’s grace – Wormwood, a “bitter root” that              Hebrews 12:15 tells us “springs up to cause trouble, defiling many”.  Not only is this one’s teachings contaminated, but also those hearts who drink in Wormwood’s waters fall into corruption.  (Deuteronomy29:18-20; 2 Peter 3:17; Revelation 8:10-11; Proverbs 26:28; 23:26-28; 7:21-27)

How did the organization become labeled as “spirit-directed”?  Obviously, this is a title sanctioned by the Governing Body.  The Beast/false prophet/Wormwood/harlots (all descriptive characteristics of the same identity) “breathe” spirit…

 …into the Beast from the Sea, creating an “image” of spirit-directed, as if by God’s Spirit.  (Revelation 13:11,14-15) (Jesus breathed Holy Spirit onto his apostles – John 20:21-23)

“The second beast (false prophet) was given power (demonic power) to give breath (spirit) to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.” Revelation 13:15

The Watchtower’s glorified idol is now born. (Deuteronomy29:18; Jeremiah 18:15; 2:11; Isaiah 42:17; Romans 1:25; Revelation 2:20-23 ) One that is represented by a world-wide “Gentile” elder body that wields the authority given it by the false prophet.  (Luke 22: 24-27; Matthew 24:48-51; Revelation13:1-2,4)

This army becomes the voice of the “spirit-directed organization”, which cannot be crossed without the consequences of removal, a spiritual “death”, affecting any of the "elect"/anointed who give testimony to Christ and truth.   (John 16:2; Revelation 11:1-3,4,7; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4; 1 Corinthians 3:16-17; 1 Peter 2:5,9; Matthew24:15-16; Daniel 11:31; Mark 13:14) 

Should an organization built with the world’s tools and riches, receive respect, honor and loyalty on equal footing with the Father?

“I am YHWH. That is my name. I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to engraved images.”  Isaiah 42:8

“All who make idols are nothing, and what they treasure benefits no one. Their witnesses do not see or know anything, so they will be put to shame.”  Isaiah 44:9

²⁴ “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. ²⁵ And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.”  Acts 17:24-25

But what are Jehovah’s Witnesses continually admonished to serve?  “Jehovah’s spirit-directed organization” – a temple/idol built with hands.

Message to the Governing Body

I thought I’d share the following strong, yet short letter written by a relative, once a JW.  Without him realizing it, his pointed letter addressed to the Governing Body specifically targets their true spiritual identity in scripture – as false prophets, the spiritual “prostitutes” of “Babylon the Great”, the fallen star, “Wormwood”. (Rev 13:11-12; 16:13-16; 8:10-11;17:3-5; 2:20-21; Hos 4:12; Psalm 106:39)

This entity, this “Benefactor” (Luke 22:24-27) “exercises all the authority of the first beast on its behalf”, the Watchtower organization/Wild Beast from the Sea, of Revelation chapter 13.  This is a clear link to understanding that Revelation is describing the position of the Governing Body, who oversees presently, all facets of the organization’s needs and development.  This same deceptive authority has “inspired” the organization/”Beast” to possess the perceived image as spirit-breathed, becoming a living, inspired idol.  JWs are very aware that their life depends on their obedience to the direction received from “Jehovah’s organization”.

The false prophet Beast with “two horns like a lamb”, but speaks like a dragon, has decreed, “compelled” all JWs to “worship” the beast it directs. JWs are also well aware that rejecting the Governing Body and the organization does lead to their removal.   Any who refuse to acknowledge, revere – “worship” – the “spirit-directed” beast/organization, must be symbolically (Rev 1:1) “killed”. (Rom 1:25; Rev 13:4,12,15)  “Disfellowshipped”/”Removed”/cut off from the life one lived and experienced, including all family and friends previously known.  (Mark 8:35;John 16:2-3) 

“They (‘Bible students’) must appreciate that identifying themselves with Jehovah’s organization is essential to their salvation.” Km 11/20 pp.1-2

“Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify (“mark”) you as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with God’s spirit-directed organization?”      km 4/97 pp. 3-4

“And it (the Beast/false prophet)

 makes everyone (All JWs including Christ’s anointed “kings of the earth”- Rev 1:5)

—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, (controlling all actions - spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically)

¹⁷ so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark: (JWs not only cannot explore any teachings outside the organization, but they must offer only teachings of the Beast/”Jehovah’s organization”, that they have dedicated their life to.  This is a spiritual commodity based on the deceitful decrees of men.
