From the Watchtower 2017 April pp. 3-8; “What You Vow, You
Pay”
“Recall that on your baptism day, before eyewitnesses,
you were asked whether you had dedicated yourself to Jehovah and understood
that “your dedication and baptism identify you as one
of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with God’s spirit-directed organization.”
This is not just any religious organization that we see
Jehovah’s Witnesses have vowed to serve when getting baptized. Its direction, guidance, and reproof are said
to be vital to one’s salvation. (Leviticus 26:1; Exodus 20:3; Colossians 3:5;Isaiah 45:20; 42:8; Jonah 2:8)
It is quoted as a religion “based on the Bible”, yet it is inferred
that both ”Jehovah” and the organization are equally important. (Isaiah40:25,28; Ezekiel 43:8) As a result, the Governing Body’s decrees, their
doctrines, are primarily “based on” the existence of the organization, and not the
words of God in Christ. (Deuteronomy18:20; 1 Samuel 15:23; Psalm 50:16-17,19; Mark 7:7; John 5:43; John 7:17-18;John 6:63;1 John 4:1; Galatians 1:6-9)
The doctrine of these fallen, rebellious anointed, must be
obeyed, leading to a spiritual cutting off from obedience to Jesus, and those
same men direct the path this organization takes. (Jeremiah 17:5; Proverbs 2:10-13; Hosea 8:1;Psalm 78:10,37; John 14:21,23; 1 John 3:24; 2 Corinthians 11:1-4,13-15; 2 Peter3:17; Hebrews 12:15; 1 John 2:19; Ephesians 5:15-16; 2 Peter 1:10; Colossians2:6-10,18-19; 1 Timothy 4:1; Revelation 8:10-11; 13:11-12)
When they fail in their direction, they put the blame on
Jesus Christ, by asserting he did not say the faithful slave would “produce
perfect spiritual food”. (Isaiah 28:7; Matthew 12:36-37) According to the Greek
Interlinear, Jesus asked in Matthew 24:45 - “Who then is a faithful and wise
servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them “the Nurture/ nourishment (Strong’s G5160) in season”. If these men were teaching the word of
God, if they were led by the Holy Spirit, wouldn’t their plethora of magazines and books produced over the many years be lasting, life-giving, nourishing truth, amply supported by scripture? Wouldn’t Jesus expect their
teachings to “nourish” one’s heart, instead of robbing it of spiritual
truth? (Isaiah 40:8; Proverbs 30:5; Amos8:11-13; Zechariah 8:16; John 15:4-8,16; John 6:63; 7:37-38; James 1:17; 1 Pet4:11,10; Ephesians 4:25)
For Jesus said to the woman at the well:
“If you knew the
gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him
and he would have given you living water.” (John
4:10) In verse 14, Jesus
continued: indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of
water welling up to eternal life.” (John 4:14)
Then Jesus declared, “I am
the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be
thirsty.” (John 6:35)
Going back to the Greek Interlinear, in Matthew 24:45, the phrase “faithful and discreet” as Watchtower puts it, is rendered “believing” (Strong’s G4103) and “disposed/prudent”, meaning a willingness to be sensible, thoughtful and wise. (Strong’s G5429). Could we ever imagine Jesus, the Logos, the Word (John 1:1) not providing the truth, the understanding of his words for his believing, faithful, wise servants who ask him; this Jesus - the Way, the Truth, and the Life? (John 14:6) In our physical bodies, hunger and thirst are the result when we have not received proper nourishment and clean water to live by. When it involves our eternal life, Jesus promises to provide spiritual nourishment for any who believe in him and obey his word. (John 1:14; 3:16; 10:10; Matthew28:19-20; 1 Timothy 4:16)
Christ’s “faithful and wise slave” whom he has put in charge
of his spiritual household, has a responsibility to obediently remain connected to the
root, Jesus Christ, as a branch that produces “good fruit” and receives what some
translations say as the “nourishing sap”, or the life-giving spiritual richness of the wisdom of Jesus
Christ. (Isaiah 11:1-2; Proverbs 2:1-22;Psalm 37:30; 90:12; Romans 11:17-18; Matthew 7:15-20; Colossians 1:28; 2:3)
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will
find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks,
the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8
The members of the Governing Body use hypocritical excuses
to cover over their lack of faith and their unbelief in the scriptures. (Leviticus26:14-16,20; Psalm 78:37; Proverbs 6:12-15; Hosea 4:1,6,12; Proverbs 30:20; Malachi2:7-8; John 3:18,36; 2 Thessalonians 1:8; James 4:8)
They refuse to approach the true Father and His Son for the
wisdom found in God’s word. (Proverbs 4:14-19; Jeremiah 17:13; John 5:39-40; Matthew7:21,24-27; John 8:44,43, 41,47,51,31-32; John 14:21; Hebrews 4:12; Romans 10:9-10,17;Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 13:9)
This is the result of their hearts’ pursuits, leading to an
anointed one’s downfall; riches, prominence, self-importance. (Matthew 24:4-5,24-25;Matthew 7:15; 2 Peter 3:17; Hebrews 3:12; Isaiah 10:1-2; Romans 1:28-29;12:2; 2Timothy 3:1-5,8-9; 1 John 3:10; Revelation 13:11-12,14-15; 1 John 3:12; Phil3:18-19, Col 3:5)
“I don’t accept praise from
humans. 42 But I know what kind of people you are.
You don’t have any love for God. 43 I have come with the
authority my Father has given me, but you don’t accept me. If someone else
comes with his own authority, you will accept him. 44 How
can you believe when you accept each other’s praise and don’t look for the
praise that comes from the only God?”
John 5:41-44
“It is out of the heart that evil thoughts come, as well
as murder, adultery, sexual immorality, stealing, false testimony, and
slander.” Matthew 15:19
They revel in their entitlement as “benefactors”, who direct the predicted Wild Beast from the Sea, an organization with wicked roots that has arisen against the anointed in the last days. (Luke4:5-7; Luke 22:24-25; Luke 12:42;Philippians 2:3; Luke 22:26-27; Matthew 23:12; Jeremiah 51:7; Ezekiel 16:28; Matthew24:48-51; Revelation 17:3;13:1-2,4,7-9; 9:1-4,11;13:11-12,15)
The water they offer is a muddy, poisoned flood of lies, overcoming
the kings of the earth; Christ's anointed kings. (Revelation 1:5; 5:9-10) and all with them. (Isaiah57:20-21;Proverbs 25:26; Ezekiel 34:17-19; Luke 17:27;Hebrews 12:15; Proverbs5:1-6; Revelation 8:10-11; 9:1; 17:3-6,15;Isaiah 28:14-15,18-19; Revelation12:15-16)
The spiritual “food” they serve is discarded on a regular
basis. (“new light”). (Ezekiel13:8,10-12; Isaiah 28:7-10; Matthew 7:19; Luke 6:45)
Rotten food creates a stench, thus the need to remove it
completely out of reach of today’s generation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. (Proverbs13:5; Isaiah 3:10-11;19:14; John 6:27) There is no promise of eternal life in
the teachings of these false prophets. (John 3:18-19) What they teach is woven
around the presence of the organization – their idol, the stumbling block of
all JWs. (Ezekiel 14:1-10;18:30; 44:12; Matthew 18:6; 1 Corinthians 10:21-22,32-33; Rom 1:25; Revelation 2:14)
Its life-blood relies on the doctrine of men, outside of
God's word. (Psalm 73:7,11; Jeremiah7:19; 5:30-31; Psalm 10:13; Colossians 2:8; 2 Peter 2:1-3; 1 Timothy 1:3-4; 6:3-5; 4:1; Revelation13:4).
Should an anointed servant of God have the insolence to
state that he is indeed a faithful slave of Christ before his return to judge
his servants? These false prophets/spiritual
traitors – harlots – have proclaimed that they will soon be taken up to heaven
to rule along with Jesus Christ. (Matthew 25:14-30) (Psalm 119:155; Proverbs 16:5; Ezekiel 21:25-27; Obadiah 1:1-4; Nahum 3:5; Revelation 2:21-23;17:1-2,16-18;18:7-8; 19:20)
"Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth. Therefore their people turn to them and drink up waters in abundance." Psalm 73:9-10
Revelation 13:15 tells us that the false prophet (Revelation13:11-12;16:13-14) has been granted by the dragon to give spirit or "breath", to
the Beast/organization, creating its image as “spirit-directed”, a term JWs are familiar with. However, they believe this is God's Spirit, granting His divine authority on the organization. This delusion of divine power requires one’s unity to all of the harlot’s teachings, in serving its
needs, and in devotion and obedience. (Isaiah 2:7-12,17-22;45:20-21; Matthew 6:24; 2 Corinthians 11:19-20; Romans 1:22, 25; Revelation13:4,8-10,16-17;6:15-17)
God’s perceived presence in Spirit and His blessings
are strictly experienced through the organization. (1 Kings 8:27; Psalm 89:11; Isaiah 66:1-2; Romans 8:38-39;1:18-23)
And when one of Jehovah’s Witnesses leaves the organization, it is said that the person has “left Jehovah”. (Isaiah 40:18-20; 44:17;Isaiah 57:13,11,1; Psalm 34:18; 46:1; Matthew 11:28; John 14:6; 6:37; 8:19;16:2-3)
Evil leaders of ancient Israel were responsible for
misleading God’s people into idolatry and sinning against God commands.
(Deuteronomy 13:1-5; 1 Kings 12:25-33) So too, in the Watchtower.
“Then Elijah approached all the people and said, “How
long are you going to struggle with the two choices? If the LORD is God, follow
Him; but if Baal, ( meaning “master”) follow him.” But the people
did not answer him so much as a word.” 1 Kings 18:21
“No one can serve two masters;
for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to
one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.” Matthew 6:24
So, what
really have Jehovah’s Witnesses dedicated their lives to? Are they serving only God? Obviously, the
opening quote above says otherwise, stating that the vow they have entered is
to both “Jehovah” and the organization.
Exodus 20:23 – “You will not make alongside me gods of silver,
and gods of gold you will not make for yourselves.”
The Hebrew word translated as “alongside” is Strong’s H854, also means “together with, with [of relationship], a nearness”. All of these meanings can replace the words “in association with” in
the Watchtower quote above. There is a
tight, unbreakable relationship in the JW mind of God and the Watchtower
organization.
“…you were asked whether you
had dedicated yourself to Jehovah and understood that ‘your dedication and
baptism identify you as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in
association with (“together with”) God’s spirit- directed organization”.
God’s
word provides us with proof of idolatry committed by His anointed and all of
Jehovah’s Witnesses. We
should ask ourselves, is it God, or the organization, that expects their
material donations and the work of their hands to build mega compounds? Along with
complete dedication and devotion by its members, and Watchtower’s vast worldly
investments, it hopes to assure a continued existence of the organizational
idol that feeds the power and arrogance of its leaders; both the governing body
and its army of elders. (Exodus 32:1-4; Isaiah 1:23; 2:7-9; Acts 7:48-51; Acts17:24-25,29) (Isaiah 2:11; Matthew24:48-51; 2 Corinthians 6:14; Titus 1:7; Galatians 5:19-21,16-17; Luke 12:15;Psalm 73:12; Luke 4:5-7; 1 John 2:15-17 ;1 Tim 6:9-10)
Jesus said that his Kingdom was not of this world, and not
to store our treasure on earth, but in heaven; that is, our faith, hope and
trust in God’s word and His promises, and the understanding of His truth. (Job23:12; Proverbs 7:1-5; Isaiah 33:5-6; Matthew 6:19-21; John 17:17; Proverbs1:5;2:7; Colossians 3:16; 1 John 2:15-16) (Proverbs 3:13-18; 23:23; 8:11;Matthew 13:44,46; Colossians 2:2-3; Revelation 3:18)
His faithful apostles and disciples did not build a
physical organization as JWs are taught, but under Christ’s guidance, they
nurtured individual hearts to draw close to God and His Son. (James 4:8;Jeremiah 29:12-13; Matthew 7:7;13:23;1 Peter 1:18-19)
They taught what God’s true “organization” is, that it is
built with anointed “living stones” on the body of Christ, the temple dwelling
of God’s Holy Spirit. (John 4:21,23-24; Acts 7:48-51; Acts 17:24-25,29; Hebrews11:10; Isaiah 66:1-2; John 2:19; 1 Peter 2:5,9; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians2:21-22; 5:23-27; 30-32; Revelation 14:1; Revelation 21:2-10)
Heavenly Mount Zion does not require the world’s
wealth and power. (1 John 5:19; Luke4:5-7; 2 Corinthians 11:3-4,13-15; 2 Peter 2:3;2 Corinthians 2:17;1 Corinthians5:11; Ephesians 5:5; James 1:11; 1 Timothy 6:9-11; Revelation 3:17-18)
The apostles, the foundation stones of truth in Christ
upheld his words fully completely, knowing that only through him and the Father
is salvation obtained, and not by any scheme that man would build with his
hands. (Isaiah 32:7-8,6; Isaiah 12:1-3; 55:1-3,6,10-11; John 3:16; 1 Peter1:10-11,8-9; Ephesians 2:20-22; Revelation 21:1-5; 22:14-17)
For some of us now on the outside of the organization, anointed
and not anointed, the glaring difference of following Christ as our example,
against “moving ahead” with the Watchtower Organization and their false
prophets’ example, reveals clearly the idolatry of Jehovah’s Witnesses. (Acts 20:20,28-31; 2 Peter 2:1-3; 1 Timothy4:1; Colossians 2:8; Revelation 13:10,8-9; Acts 7:48-51; Jeremiah 7:8) (1 John5:20; John 3:18-19)
It is a confusing, evil snare, to secure the power, dominance and riches of a “wicked steward” while appearing pious and truthful, with sincere loving intentions. (Luke 12:42-47) (Psalm 12:1-8; Proverbs 1:29-31; Jude1:16-19; John 8:44; Matthew 7:15-20; 24:25-25; 2 Timothy 3:5;1 Thessalonians2:5; Colossians 2:8; Romans 16:18; Revelations 16:13-16)
Satan's seed by harlots / Spirit and Truth / Wicked Steward
Ultimately, this organization is Satan’s brainchild, a very effective spiritual ruse to entice, capture, and to cut off the anointed from Jesus Christ in the days of the Great Tribulation.
Like a hunter who camouflages
a trap; Satan has designed, created and fostered a lie, consisting of a whole
society of reassuring fellows, who seem to be both informed, and loving. Truly,
this is his magnum opus. Spirit confides to us, that "he knows his time is
short"
(Rev.12:12,17; Eze.21:21-22; Rev.13:1,4; 20:7-8; 16:13-16; 1Tim. 4:1; Rev.13:7,10; Col.2:8; Luke 21:24).
The result of his final "machination", is the Great Tribulation...
though as is the case with the hunter's trap, it is so well camouflaged. It
draws in anyone with a genuine interest in truth, and offers a
surrogate that tastes sweet, but contains poison (Rev.10:10; 8:10-11; 1John 4:1; Rev.16:13,15; Matt.24:24-25)
(2Thess.2:1-2,3; Rev.16:15; Joel 2:25,9; John 10:1,10; Matt.24:42-43).
Pearl continues -
Many have surrendered their
thinking ability and perceptive powers (Heb.5:14; 1Tim. 1:19; 3:9), to be
in captivity to an Organisation of men (Jer.10:23; Rev.13:16-17,7,10; Col.2:8),
or are riveted by Current events in Satan's world...seeking
the truthful interpretation of prophecy, there.
For those whose attention has been arrested by Satan's decoy, Satan will continue to fabricate an unfolding counterfeit fulfillment.
We must break free (Ezek.39:25-27,28-29; Isa.52:1-2; 42:7; Luke 4:18; Rev.9:14; 16:12; 2Cor. 4:6; John 14:30 b),
and seek out our safe and true escort...the truthful spiritual fulfillment
of Jesus' prophetic warnings, which are the only safe route home to our reward
(John 14:6; 17:17; Rom.3:4; 1John 2:20,27,28; Rev.22:6,16).
In that day a man will look to his Maker,
And his eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Israel.
8 He will not look to the altars,
The work of his hands;
He will not respect what his fingers have made,
Nor the wooden images nor the incense altars.
9 In that day his strong cities will be as a forsaken bough
And an uppermost branch,
Which they left because of the children of Israel;
And there will be desolation.
10 Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation,
And have not been mindful of the Rock of your stronghold,
Therefore you will plant pleasant plants
And set out foreign seedlings;
11 In the day you will make your plant to grow,
And in the morning you will make your seed to flourish;
But the harvest will be a heap of ruins
In the day of grief and desperate sorrow.
12 Woe to the multitude of many people
Who make a noise like the roar of the seas,
And to the rushing of nations
That make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!
13 The nations will rush like the rushing of many waters;
But God will rebuke them and they will flee far away,
And be chased like the chaff of the mountains before the wind,
Like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.
14 Then behold, at eventide, trouble!
And before the morning, he is no more.
This is the portion of those who plunder us,
And the lot of those who rob us. Isaiah
17:7-14
