The word, “Babylon” means confusion.  In the book of Revelation, the term “Babylon the Great” is spoken of as written on the forehead, as a trait; more importantly, a promise one enters and serves – the covenant of death. (Isaiah 28:15,18) It is written on the forehead of a false prophet. (Matthew 24:24-25; 7:15; Revelation 13:11;17:5) This false prophet is a spiritual traitor, a composite group of anointed leaders or “heads” who have turned their backs on God, Christ and the word of truth. (Revelation13:1) By doing so, it has earned them their label as spiritual harlots, daughters of their covenant “mother”.  (Revelation17:3-5)  

Why? They have broken their covenant promise with Christ, who is Truth,  (John 14:6), to enter another promise, Babylon the Great, the mother covenant of death. (Deuteronomy 11:16-18; 12:28-32; Proverbs12:22; Isa 1:21; Ezekiel 16:44; Psalm 106:39; 2 Corinthians 11:1-3; Colossians2:18-19; Luke 4:5-7; Philippians 3:17-19)

They now serve the lie and its father, Satan. (Isaiah 28:15,7-8; 2 Peter 2:1-3,12; 1 Timothy 4:1; Revelation 13:11; Revelation 16:13-16; 17:1-2;John 8:44)

“Babylon” – meaning “confusion (by mixing)”. 

Since a false prophet is involved, confusion in teachings is accomplished by mixing God’s word with the doctrine/words of men. (1Corinthians 10:21-22; 2 Corinthians 6:14; Ephesians 5:6; 1 Peter 3:10) This, the Governing Body of the Watchtower has deceitfully accomplished over the years.  (Jeremiah 9:3,8-9; Isaiah5:20-21; Jeremiah 5:22-31)

“the Great” -  “loudly, largely”, abundantly, with intensity and purpose.

In this case, the purpose is to mislead the “elect”/the anointed priests of God, and all Jehovah’s Witnesses who become “captive to empty philosophy”. (Matt 24:24-25; 1 Tim 4:1;Col 2:8; Rev 13:10)

The Greek word for “Great” is “related to Latin magnus”.  You’ve possibly heard the phrase, “Magnum Opus”, meaning “a great work”.

Watchtower has accomplished a great work of confusion with the help of the father of the lie.  The teachings of any anointed one cannot be excused if they lead a listener into the realm of confusion (“Babylon”) and darkness; wicked men deceitfully enticing them with an offering of twisted teachings, rotting “fruit”, that continually must be replaced. The traditional lifespan of the Governing Body’s doctrines ends the moment they are spoken, unlike the words of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 56:5; Jeremiah 9:5; 23:36; Matthew7:15-20; Luke 6:43-45; John 15:4; Matthew 12:35,37;1 Corinthians 2:13;Colossians 2:8)

Watchtower may claim that all their teachings are “based” on the Bible, but as we can see by the scriptures, corrupt men can easily twist God’s word into lies.  (Deuteronomy 4:2; Titus2:7-8; Malachi 2:7)

“Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.
⁶ Don’t add to his words,
or He will rebuke you, and you will be proved a liar.”  Proverbs 30:5-6

 ^“For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. ⁴ They will reject the truth and chase after myths.”  2 Timothy 4:3-4

Like a hunter who camouflages a trap, Satan has designed, created and fostered a lie, consisting of a whole society of reassuring fellows, who seem to be both informed, and loving. Truly, this is his magnum opus. Spirit confides to us, that "he knows his time is short" 
(Rev.12:12,17; Eze.21:21-22; Rev.13:1,4; 20:7-8; 16:13-16;  1Tim. 4:1; Rev.13:7,10; Col.2:8; Luke 21:24). 
The result of his final "machination", is the Great Tribulation... though as is the case with the hunter's trap, it is so well camouflaged. It draws in anyone with a genuine interest in truth, and offers a surrogate that tastes sweet, but contains poison (Rev.10:10; 8:10-11;  1John 4:1; Rev.16:13; Matt.24:24-25). 

 

“Spirit-directed”

The speaker in the video revealed the discrepancies of this teaching which is applied to the organization.  And this term also is built on the premise of confusion.  The false prophet of Revelation 13:11 is described as a Beast from the earth having two horns like a lamb – as if submissive, belonging to Christ and telling the truth. (Matthew 25:32-33; John8:17) But instead, this Beast speaks like a dragon, a liar just like its father. (John 8:44) The apostle Peter compares false prophets to “brute beasts” who exploit people with fabricated messages.

“But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption, ¹³ and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast (sharing spiritual food) with you, ¹⁴ having eyes full of adultery (spiritual prostitutes) and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children.”  2 Peter 2:12-14

Just as the Governing Body directs all aspects of the organization on its behalf, the false prophet/Beast also directs an “organization” – “Satan’s organization”, as the Watchtower calls the Beast from the Sea, from the sea of humankind. (Revelation 13:4,7; Isaiah57:20) Isn’t that how organizations are formed, by the accumulation of people with a purpose? 

This second “beast”/false prophet works “signs and wonders”, astounding accomplishments, on behalf of the organization/sea beast. (Matthew24:24; Revelation 13:13; John 4:48)   But the Greek word for “beast” describes them both as “venomous” – a source of poisonous teachings.  (Deuteronomy 32:32-33; Psalm 140:3; Revelation17:1-2; Romans 3:10-18; Revelation 16:13-16)

If a person is poisoned by something, one of the symptoms is confusion.  If a person is poisoned by Revelation’s “Wormwood”, it too causes great confusion.  This is another label for the false prophet/Beast of the earth who has fallen from God’s grace – Wormwood, a “bitter root” that              Hebrews 12:15 tells us “springs up to cause trouble, defiling many”.  Not only is this one’s teachings contaminated, but also those hearts who drink in Wormwood’s waters fall into corruption.  (Deuteronomy29:18-20; 2 Peter 3:17; Revelation 8:10-11; Proverbs 26:28; 23:26-28; 7:21-27)

How did the organization become labeled as “spirit-directed”?  Obviously, this is a title sanctioned by the Governing Body.  The Beast/false prophet/Wormwood/harlots (all descriptive characteristics of the same identity) “breathe” spirit…

 …into the Beast from the Sea, creating an “image” of spirit-directed, as if by God’s Spirit.  (Revelation 13:11,14-15) (Jesus breathed Holy Spirit onto his apostles – John 20:21-23)

“The second beast (false prophet) was given power (demonic power) to give breath (spirit) to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.” Revelation 13:15

The Watchtower’s glorified idol is now born. (Deuteronomy29:18; Jeremiah 18:15; 2:11; Isaiah 42:17; Romans 1:25; Revelation 2:20-23 ) One that is represented by a world-wide “Gentile” elder body that wields the authority given it by the false prophet.  (Luke 22: 24-27; Matthew 24:48-51; Revelation13:1-2,4)

This army becomes the voice of the “spirit-directed organization”, which cannot be crossed without the consequences of removal, a spiritual “death”, affecting any of the "elect"/anointed who give testimony to Christ and truth.   (John 16:2; Revelation 11:1-3,4,7; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4; 1 Corinthians 3:16-17; 1 Peter 2:5,9; Matthew24:15-16; Daniel 11:31; Mark 13:14) 

Should an organization built with the world’s tools and riches, receive respect, honor and loyalty on equal footing with the Father?

“I am YHWH. That is my name. I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to engraved images.”  Isaiah 42:8

“All who make idols are nothing, and what they treasure benefits no one. Their witnesses do not see or know anything, so they will be put to shame.”  Isaiah 44:9

²⁴ “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. ²⁵ And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.”  Acts 17:24-25

But what are Jehovah’s Witnesses continually admonished to serve?  “Jehovah’s spirit-directed organization” – a temple/idol built with hands.
