In the Hebrew scriptures, we find the account of a notorious
Phoenician princess named “Jezebel”. She
married King Ahab of northern Israel.
This king “did evil in the sight of the Lord, more than all who
were before him”. (1 Kings 16:30) He held on to calf worship set up by
his predecessor King Jeroboam, “And as though it were not enough to
follow the sinful example of Jeroboam, he married Jezebel” (1 Kings 16:31) Jezebel was the daughter of the
king of the Sidonians. The political marriage between Jezebel and
Ahab was a violation of God’s decrees. (Deut. 7:1-6; Exod 34:12-16; Josh23:12-13)
The two together worshipped the Canaanite god, Baal, (meaning
“master, owner”) including the goddess Asherah, along with their hundreds of prophets,
who most likely acted as priests for their gods as well. And the two together committed heinous
crimes. (1 Kings 21:1-16)
Jezebel was a domineering, manipulating tyrant, taking her
seat in power over Israel and over Ahab.
She seduced her subjects into worshiping her god, including her husband, who
further turned against God and built an altar for Baal in Samaria. (1 Kings 16:32-33; 1 Kings 21:25) She was guilty of killing anyone of Israel who
questioned her practices and her gods, resulting in the slaughtering of God’s
prophets. Obadiah was able to hide a hundred
of God’s prophets in a cave, protected from her lust for blood. (1 Kings 18:13,4)
God's only remaining prophet, Elijah, challenged Jezebel’s 850
prophets on Mount Carmel, to call on their god to consume a sacrifice to Baal,
and they failed miserably. (1 Kings18: 26-29; Judges 10:11-14; Isa 44:9-11) He
had told all who had gathered, those of Israel who had been misled by Jezebel,
“’How long are you going to be paralyzed by
indecision? If the Lord is the true God, then follow him,
but if Baal is, follow him!’ But the people did not say a word.” (1Kings 18:20-21; Exod 20:23)
Before all present, Elijah’s sacrifice to the Lord was
consumed with fire, by an astounding act of divine power. (1 Kings 18:30-38)
Those of Israel fell in worship, proclaiming “The Lord - He is God! The
Lord - He is God!” (1 Kings 18:39; Isa 43:11-12; 44:6-7,24-25)
Elijah decreed that
all of Jezebel’s prophets be executed. When
she received the news, her response to Elijah was, “May the gods deal with me,
be it ever so severely, if by this time tomorrow I do not make your life
like that of one of them.” (1 Kings 19:1-3) Elijah, the only prophet left to
stand against Jezebel, relayed God’s judgment to Ahab, for both he and his
wife. (1 Kings 21:20-24; 2 Kings 9:1-3,6-10)
The synonymous acts of spiritual “Baal” worship being
committed in the Watchtower organization goes undetected at the surface level.
(Prov 12:2; Isa 29:13,15,20; Matt 7:15,20 ; Luke 8:17; 1 John 4:1) The Watchtower
teaches that God formed an earthly, materially rich organization that imitates
Jesus’ example, and follows his direction, which couldn’t be further from the
truth. (John 4:23-24;18:36)
From the w53 4/15 p. 247 “If a man
should form an organization, be devoted to its purposes,
seek its interests, be faithful to it, look to the welfare
of all its members, give it time and attention, rejoice in its productivity,
and so be united with it intimately, can it not be properly said that such a
person is “married” to that organization? Yes, because,
figuratively, ‘marriage’ means just such a close union. It is consistent
and in all good taste for Jehovah God to designate himself as a husband to his
organization.”
God is not devoted to Watchtower’s deceitful, corrupt purpose, which is to “mislead the elect”. (Matt 24:24-25; Col 2:8; Luke 21:24; Rev 13:10; Dan 8:12; Rev 13:7; 12:4; Luke 21:21)
Neither He nor Christ have interest in material riches,
power and prominence of the world of men.
That would be Satan’s realm.
(Luke 4:5-7; James 1:13-15; 1 John5:19; 2Cor.4:4; Matt 6:19-21; Col 3:2,5; Heb 11:1; 2 Cor 4:18)
Nor has God ever tolerated the twisted doctrine of men.
(Psalm 56:5; Isa 48:1; Jer 2:13; Isa 5:20; Acts 20:30-31; Romans 16:18; 2 Pet 3:16; Jer 23:26-31)
He also does not expect His anointed priesthood to lie
dormant while “Gentile” elders not anointed, “represent” them as priests,
judges and teachers of God’s word. (2 Chron 13:8-9; 15:3; Mal 3:13-15; Jer 5:30-31;Isa 51:17-23) (Deut 21:5; 1 Cor 6:1-5; John20:21-23: Deut 33:10; Mal 2:7; Matt 28:19-20; 1 Pet 2:5,9; Rev 5:9-10)
Yet, it has been documented by the Governing Body, that the
elder body must be honored, while God’s royal priesthood is to remain humble and silent. (Eccl10:5-7; Lam 1:1-3,5-6,9-10; Luke 19:43-44; Dan 7:19; 8:10,12; Rev 6:13)
The elders, as a counterfeit priesthood, has been given the
authority and power to dominate and judge God’s chosen priests; as either a
faithful servant to the organization, or condemned for their testimony of God’s
word in Christ Jesus. (Hab 1:4; Matt16:24; 24:9-14; Mark 8:35; John 16:2; Rev 13:4,7-9,14-17; 11:3,7; 6:9-11)
The scriptures call this a disgusting thing that has invaded
His spiritual temple, the abomination standing in the holy place prophesied by
Daniel. (Ezek 44:6-9; Jer 23: 11-12; Dan9:27; 11:31; Mark 13:14; 1 Cor 3:16-17; 2 Thess 2:1-4; Rev 11:1-3)
Regardless of Watchtower’s obscure, vague teaching made by
its false prophets, this presence termed the “man of lawlessness” in the last
days, is powerful and active, a wicked idolatrous influence over God’s holy
ones, and for all JWs living within the lying walls of the Watchtower. And it
is found where God’s spiritual temple is found, where the anointed reside. (Hab1:6; Joel 2:1-2; Matt 24:15-16; Mark 13:14; 1 Cor 3:16-17; 2 Thess 2:3-4,9-10; 2Cor 4:3-4; 1 Tim 4:1; Col 2:8; Rev 11:1-2; Joel 2:3-5; Rev 9:1-4,7-11;13:1-2,10,7)
Through the direction of the false prophet, its sole purpose
is to represent and defend the “spirit-directed organization”, the modern-day
idol revered by God’s holy people and all Jehovah's Witnesses.
(Lev 26:1; Exod 20:3-6; Rom 1:25; 8:5; Rev 13:11-17)
God’s interest in “organization” however, is the body of
Christ. (Eph 4:4-6) His spiritual dwelling and Temple “Zion” built on the chief
cornerstone, Jesus Christ, establishes the foundation of truth. (John 2:19-22; 1 Pet 2:6-8; Matt 7:24-25; John7:16-18; 2:20-22)
Joining him are his faithful anointed, sealed “living
stones”, his Bride under the mother covenant of life. (1 Pet 2:4-5,9; Eph 2:20-22; Col 3:15; 1 Cor12:12-14; Gal 4:26; Rev 5:9-10; Rev 22:17)
This is a temple not
built by the will of man, but by the will of God. (Isa 66:1-2; Acts 4:12; 17:24-25,29-30;7:48-51;1 Cor 3:16-17,9)
Jesus Christ is the
true rightful Master over His chosen anointed priests, not the rebellious sons
of men and the prophets among them. (Isa1:3-4,7-9,23; Matt 6:24; Gal 1:10; Acts 5:29; Rom 14:12; 1 Cor 7:23)
The Watchtower clearly shows who it is that the Governing Body
leadership has entered a covenant with, who their “husbandly” owner and
father is in this arrangement; and it is not God nor Jesus Christ, but Satan
the devil. (Deut 4:23; Jer 31:31-32; Hos4:11-13; Jer 3:1-5,19-20; John 8:44)
By breaking their covenant with God, they have entered “Babylon
the Great”, submitting to their Harlot “mother”, and becoming her harlot daughters
under the covenant of death. (Isa 24:5; 28:14-15; 2 Cor 11:2-4; 1 Cor 6:15-16; Rev2:20; 17:1-6)
In the early days of the organization, anointed men under
demonic inspiration by the devil, entertained the concept of raising a physical
organization, and an empire of their own false religion, was born. (Isa 8:5-10;Luke 4:5-6; Ezek 16:15-34; Rev 8:10-11; 9:1-4)
Cleverly, with deceptive audacity, they have labeled and
advertised their wickedness, their twisting of God’s word, as “the truth”. (Isa 59:4-5; 28:14-15,7-8,16-19)
Undoubtedly, we can apply Watchtower’s aforementioned quote to
the governing leaders today and to the idol represented by a massive army of
“Gentiles”. This too, is a dual power, an alliance that
has formed between the two Beasts of Revelation. (Jer 23:13-14,10-12; Dan2:40-43; Rev 13:11-12)
The lives of the Governing Body center around what has been gradually
built up by their predecessors, and what they do to nurture its growth today – Satan’s brainchild – an idol that receives
sacrifices of praise, devotion and “sacred service” by JWs and anointed alike. (Deut 27:15; 13:1-5; Ezek 14:3; 23:37; 1 Tim4:1; Rom 1:25; Ezek 19:8-9; Hab 1:15-17; Rev 13:4; 16:2; 19:20)
Ancient Babylon was the center of false worship, where God’s
people were taken captive because of their many sins and idolatry. So too today,
Babylon the Great, the mother covenant of death, has at its center, the false
worship of the spirit-directed organization, where Satan has his
synagogue. And there we see the anointed
have been taken captive by “empty philosophy”, since the organization
began. (Col 2:8,18-19; 2 Peter 2:1-3; 2Tim 3:1-9; Rev 16:13-16; 20:7-9)
When looking at the spirit, the characteristics and attitude
displayed by Jezebel, her identifying traits were idolatry, spiritual immorality,
the determination to shed the blood of God’s people who defended only God’s
word among the nation of Israel. Today, we
see this spiritual harlotry practiced against God and Christ, and the “killing”
through disfellowshipping of God’s holy people who turn away from idolatry and defend His word in Jesus
Christ. (Matt 23:31-36; John 16:2; Rev 13:15;16:4-6; 19:2)
We see the captivity of all God’s holy people who are committed
to serving and sacrificing their life to their “Master”/idol, represented by
the elder body. (Rom 1:25; Col 2:8; Rev13:3-4,8,16-17; 2 Thess 2: 9-12)
Thus, the emergence of Jezebel’s detestable spiritual image within the Governing Body appears before us. (Ezek 14:7-8; Jer 2:8,19,23; 9:13-14; Rev 18:7-8) Jezebel was outright blatant in her demands, in her evil practices; but false apostles on the other hand, appear as ministers of light. (2 Cor 11:13-15; 2 Tim 4:3-4)
They have the uncanny ability, an act of sorcery, to influence their listeners with smooth, flattering, worthless words that must be heeded and obeyed as coming from God. (Prov 5:1-6; 23:26-28; 2 Kings 9:22; Nahum3:4-6; Jer 23:16; Mal 3:5; Rev 18:23; 21:8; Isa 47:8-9,12-15)
They have successfully convinced their subjects that they
worship God, yet promote their human doctrine that exalts the idol. (Ezek14:7-8; Jer 2:5,8, 11-13,19,23; 9:13-14)
When approached by this conundrum, faithful JWs are usually “paralyzed
by indecision”, either by shutting down with no answer to give, or resorting to
slander against those declaring and defending God’s word. (John 15:18; Matt 5:10-12; 2 Tim 3:12; 1 Pet4:16; Rev 6:9-11)
We have valid scriptural clues that help us identify with
clarity those who carry the spirit of Jezebel today. In Revelation 2:20, Jesus tells us,
“But I have this against you: You tolerate the woman Jezebel, who
calls herself a prophetess and teaches and deceives my servants to commit
sexual immorality and to eat meat sacrificed to idols.”
The organization has on record that it has called itself a
“prophet” many times over the years, and that its prophetic teachings were and
still are, “Bible-based”. Don’t let
these loose words deceive you, as they are a diabolical mix of biblical
language and the doctrine of men. Satan
as well, used “Bible-based” words to mislead Jesus. (Matt 4:5-6)
The Watchtower magazine aptly defines its scriptural beliefs
as “unique to Jehovah’s Witnesses” (w86 4/15 p. 31); “unique”, meaning distinct,
peculiar, set apart. Yes, teachings that
are distinctly twisted and set apart from the sound doctrine and simplicity of
Jesus Christ. Only teachings strictly backed fully by scripture would represent
God’s truth. (2 Cor 11:3; Rom 16:17-18; Acts20:30; Gal 1:6-9; 2 Pet 3:16;1 Tim 4:16; 1 John 4:1)
Although their label as a prophet is heavily refuted by Jehovah’s
Witnesses today, there has been a resurgence of the Governing Body’s prophetic
status when Jeffrey Winder read Amos 3:7 after 2024 Annual Meeting. (Deut18:20-22) He states:
“Turn with me please, to the book of Amos chapter 3 and
notice what Amos 3:7 says. “For the sovereign Lord Jehovah will not do a thing UNLESS HE HAS REVEALED HIS CONFIDENTIAL MATTER
TO HIS SERVANTS THE PROPHETS.”
He comments: DOESN’T
THAT CONVEY JEHOVAH’S CONFIDENCE IN US? Doesn't it indicate his love, his loyalty.
Jehovah is actively involved in teaching his people, PREPARING US FOR
WHAT LIES AHEAD. He's providing us with
the understanding that we need when we need it, and that is reassuring, isn’t
it.”
“Son
of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying.
Say to those who prophesy out of their own imagination: ‘Hear the word of
the Lord! 3 This is what the
Sovereign Lord says: Woe to the foolish prophets who follow
their own spirit and have seen nothing!
Their visions are false and their divinations a
lie. Even though the Lord has not sent them, they say,
“The Lord declares,” and expect him to fulfill their words. 7 Have
you not seen false visions and uttered lying divinations when you say,
“The Lord declares,” though I have not spoken?
“‘Because they lead my people astray, saying,
“Peace,” when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built,
they cover it with whitewash, 11 therefore tell those who
cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents,
and I will send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds will
burst forth. 12 When the wall collapses, will people not
ask you, “Where is the whitewash you covered it with?”
“‘Therefore this is what the
Sovereign Lord says: In my wrath I will unleash a violent wind, and
in my anger hailstones and torrents of rain will fall with
destructive fury. 14 I will tear down the wall you
have covered with whitewash and will level it to the ground so that its
foundation will be laid bare. When it falls, you will be
destroyed in it; and you will know that I am the Lord. 15 So
I will pour out my wrath against the wall and against those who covered it with
whitewash. I will say to you, “The wall is gone and so are those who
whitewashed it, 16 those prophets of Israel who prophesied
to Jerusalem and saw visions of peace for her when there was no peace, declares
the Sovereign Lord.”’ Ezekiel
13:2-3,6-7,10-12,13-16
Pearl Doxsey gives us more identifying clues:
Next we are told that this "Jezebel"
misleads God's chosen slaves (Rev.2:20) (Rev.7:3; 14:1) "to commit (spiritual)
fornication" (2Cor.11:2,3,4; 1Cor.6:15,16).
The "harlot" entices the Gentiles and also God's slaves
(by means of her "wine" -Jer.2:21; Deut.32:32; Rev.14:8; Jer.51:7,8)
to commit spiritual fornication with her (Rev.17:2; Isa.1:21; Jer.2:21,20; 13:27),
as does that same "false prophet" encourage that same idolatry (Rev.13:12,7; 19:20).
Spiritual fornication is demanded by the lamb-like false
prophet (Rev.13:11,15,17).
Under penalty of "death", the doctrines of the Wild Beast must be law
(Rev.13:16) rather than the Word of God (Deut.6:6,8).
The remnant submits (Rev.13:7; 11:2; 9:10)...
Next Jesus tells us, that this ruling Jezebel causes
God's chosen slaves to "eat things sacrificed to idols". Revelation's
idol is evident (Rev.13:14,15).
The compromise of the remnant (Rev.13:7,8) causes them to accept the intimidating
directives of the false prophet, including partaking of its lying spiritual
provisions
(Rev.16:13,14,15; 2Pet.2:1; Matt.7:15,20; 24:26,27,28; 2Tim.3:13; 1Tim.4:1; 1John4:1).
It's teachings are sacrifices to the Wild Beast Organization...to feed its
image with power, authority, and strength. For a time, those chosen yet
unsealed, "eat" and swallow these false doctrines/deep things of
Satan (Rev.2:24). Yet the faithful of heart, are not
drowned by them (Rev.12:15,14; Isa.43:1,2,3; Rev.12:16).

"Jezebel"?
